Panic As Man Dies On Lagos to New York Flight
There were fears that the Ebola virus had been transported
into New York today after a man travelling from Nigeria died on board a plane. There was panic at the John F. Kennedy Airport in New York
today when a man travelling from Nigeria died on board an airplane. The 63-year-old victim, said to be a US citizen, reportedly
died at about 5:45 am, an hour before the plane landed, NY Daily News reports.
The man was said to have complained of chest pains and was
vomiting before he died of an apparent heart attack. Officials of the Centers for Disease Control and Health
Department inspected the plane and reportedly kept the passengers on board for
about 45 minutes before they eventually determined that the victim didn’t die
of Ebola. A plane carrying 183 passengers was today isolated in Spain
after a man, also travelling from Nigeria, was reported to have symptoms of
Ebola Virus Disease EVD
