The Woman That Shocked Lagos State! Igbo Woman Won House of Representative in Lagos State (SEE PICTURES)

 Barr. Mrs. Rita Orji a first timer that shocked Lagos State, she is the first woman to win Ajeromi/ Ifelodun Federal Constituency, Ajegunle Area.

She is also the first none indigence to win a seat at the National Assembly representing Ajeromi/Ifelodun, Ajegunle Area of Lagos State. It came as a shock and a surprise to not only her opponent but members of her political party PDP in Lagos State.

She was grounded, rugged and her doggedness is second to none as she slugged it out with her APC opponent. Once she was convinced within herself that this is what she wanted, she went all out and with God on her side, she received the crown by winning 10 out of the 11 wards within her constituency. What a woman!!

 Barr. Mrs. Orji was announced member of House of Representative elect by the INEC electoral officer Dr.Akinleye Sinon Oludiro.

Barrister Rita as fondly called by many pulled a total number of 46,787 votes to defeat the incumbent Taiwo Adenekan of the All Progress Congress who scored 29,566 votes

Touching lives by empowering the unemployed men around the Area

Barr. Mrs. Rita Orji, a South-easterner and lawyer, who is loved by many, this is evidence in all manner of names the electorates call her, many call her Madam Rita, others, Barrister, few  refer to her as the wife of a King, Ayaba, closer ones call her mummy, all these names shows the love and admiration they have for her.
The burden of this constituency has been laid upon her shoulder, that she will bring the much desired positive change to their community.

In this particular Constituency the biggest problem they have is the decay of infrastructure, No water, bad roads and proper access road to some areas, poor electricity, and poor standard of living among other needs that requires urgent attention.

She has promised that her tenure will be all inclusive which will accommodate the need of all, both indigenes and none indigenes.

She hopes to lobby ministers in charge of ministries responsible for different facilities for an improved infrastructure in her constituency.

She is equally hopeful that PDP will win the governorship election in the state, because that will further bring development closer to the people.

Electorates are also expectant that she will attend to the yearning of the masses.

Her success which many attributed as the success for the people is very significant being a non indigene to have won the seat for the first time in Ajeromi / Ifelodun federal constituency. It’s also the first time PDP is winning in the area.

This is the Nigeria of our dream, where an Emeka can win election in Kastina and an Olu will win election in Aba, where an Adamu can become a Governor in Lagos.
