Oga Emeka and His New Bride - Story That Touch ( Final Episode )

Oga Emeka turning and tossing on his bed .... could not sleep, it’s almost dawn. He stood up and sat by the edge of the bed. “ What have I gotten myself into ?” what will I tell Udo? After all these years.  Her father practically handed her over to me.. Hia!


Kelechi! My maid .(he shakedown his head)...so I am expected to marry my maid ? What kind of mistake is this ? How do I solve this issue?.... he continued.

Very early that morning, he left to his friend’s  house. “Agbai , agwo di na akirika” ! There is problem oooo. His friend was still  trying to understand the meaning of this early morning visit . What is the problem Emeka? Did anybody die? No body died, my brother !,  Kelechi my maid is pregnant!

Agbai : Kelechi your maid? How? Who is responsible?
Oga Emeka: ( makes  a face )

Agbai: Emeka!  You? How manage? U have a wife and u have Udo? Hia ! Emeka!

Emeka: I am in dilemma my brother! Kelechi people said I must marry her

Agbai : m a r r y her? Why? Because she is pregnant or because they have seen a rich man?

Emeka : they said it’s their tradition.

Agbai : what rubbish tradition is that? Are they saying,  there has never been a girl that got pregnant out of wedlock in their village?  I think they just want to exploit you.

Emeka: that is the only way I will lay claim to the child

Agbai : oooooooooooooooooooo. .....chai ! Wahala dey oooo. So what do you plan to do ?

Emeka : that is why I came to you .

Agbai :hmmmmm... (a heavy  sigh ) let’s take some days to think about it, okay? (Putting his hands on his friend’s shoulder ) Take it easy my friend.

Days later

Oga Emeka picked Udo from her house in the city, they were going to their usual hangout to relax and discuss their up coming marriage.

Udo: how was day darling?  You like so unkempt. ...have you being getting sleep at all?

Emeka : not much ....been stressful

Udo: biko take it easy.

They settled at the corner of the eatery

Emeka: (took Udo’s hand in his) Udom, you know I love you ? But do you love me?

Udo: You know I do...what is eating you up?

Emeka: there is something I have to tell you.... I wish you will understand and forgive me....

Oga Emeka sighed heavily. ..and Udo became edgy .

Oga Emeka : Kelechi my maid is pregnant and I am responsible!

Udo: what? (Udo screamed and drew her hand away) you sleep with your maid and you sleep with me too!) Omg!

Oga Emeka bowed his head and could not look her in the face .

Udo continued
Udo:  So I am not enough for you ? Why did you do this to me? To us and she started crying

Oga Emeka : babym  ,  please don’t cry . ( he felt so heartbroken that he is making her cry) I am so sorry, It was one of those weak moment. I am very sorry ? Please forgive me.

Udo: So what is going to happen now?

Oga Emeka narrated what Kelechi ’s family is asking for , and, he won’t want to abandon his baby . Udo, was confused at how to respond ....they have come too far , she thought about her dying father’s wish. She thought about her poor family. ...she was lost in thought and couldn’t ever hear Emeka’s plans.

Two weeks later , Emeka paid Kelechi’s dowry and took her home ! And after 2 months he married Udo in a lavished marriage ceremony,  he gave her a brand new car , gave her the second best room in his mansion which happens to be where he spends most of his time after the days business.

Kelechi gave birth to a set of twice . The joy of marriage is strange to her, therefore,  she finds herself always pregnant.

Udo has 2 boys and a girl. She is a professional nurse with one of the best hospital in the city . She is outrageously beautiful and Oga Emeka sees her as his only wife to the extent that other wives goes through to get some extra things from their husband.  Udo is the only educated wife and the only graduate amongst them.
