Tory of the day; Candle Light Drama

My roommate at the university was dating this guy. She liked him alot but was afraid because she knew their relationship will led to nowhere. Sheis the first daughter and tradition forbids her from marrying outside her village. Ironically, this young man is from her maternal home, but that was not enough reason to change tradition.

 The young man in question runs his business very close to her father's shop and she sees him only when school was on break, although, the young man had visited her once in school.
Another reservation was his cuteness, she felt she didn't measure up and assumed that its possible all he wanted was to go in between her legs, this perception and mindset really affected their on and off relationship.
On one of the birthdays she celebrated in school, dude sent a package to her, when she opened it she saw a birthday card signed by him and 2 candles...being ignorant she was furious. That package almost ruined her day. She waited until it was just two of us in the room and she opened up, she was so angry.

what was she angry about.?

she thought the two candles he sent to her was a smear to upset her. She believed the guy was saying ''GO FUCK YOURSELF, I KNOW YOU WANT ME BUT DENYING YOURSELF. HELP YOURSELF WITH THESE CANDLES''

It was funny, but somehow it made sense to me..lol. and I was lost at what to say....

Shortly after then school closed and she went home, according to her she avoided him, the guy kept trying to see her, but she refused indirectly until he confronted her one day in their shop where she was all alone and
this was what transpired

Guy: why are you avoiding me
Girl: I got your message
Guy: you mean my birthday package
Girl: the candles, yes.. two of them
Guy: okay. but why are you avoiding me since you came back?
Girl: I said I got your message.....
Guy: what message are you talking about again
Girl: your candles
Guy: what about them? light them and make a wish for us
Girl: what wish?, what are you talking about?
Guy: I sent you a candle to light, make a wish and blow it, like its done in the movies

brothers and sister, my girl could not believe what she was hearing..... she lashed out at him, you sent me a candles to use on myself since I have refused to sleep with you. I am not stupid.
The kind laugh dude laughed out her that day.... she was so ashamed that she called the relationship off.
