While the news of Jonathan’s invitation to Trump’s inauguration was awashed by the media, pictures emerged on Friday showing that he was at Otta visiting his counterpart Ex President Olusegun Obasanjo.

The press could not gather much but according to the punch, Jonathan who was accompanied by the former governor of Osun Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola was gladly received by Obasanjo

The host took them round his residence while chatting and laughing. They later engaged in a yoruba game called 'Ayo Olopon’.

Many political analyst are already wondering what this visit means looking back that how things were between the two prior to the elections. However, feelers presumed that the meeting was geared towards fence mending between the two.

A source acknowledged that Jonathan came with an olive branch and wish that whatever happened in the past should remain in the past as there is more to be done for Nigeria.

You will recall that Jonathan had visited other past president since he left power.

Emerging from the closed door meeting the duo had, Jonathan in his usual manner refused to speak or answer any questions from the press but Obasanjo in his character has this to say

“I want to say that we have it, Nigeria is a good country and we must never be tired of lifting the country up to the height that God has created it to be.

"And God did not make a mistake when he put all of us together and if He doesn’t want us to be together no power in the world will have made us come together.”
