Immunity For Law Makers, Not Too Young To Run and Other Bills Passed As Senate Reviews The Constitution. ( SEE LIST)

The E voting process was test run today as Senators voted  clause by clause  consideration in the amendment of the 1999 constitution.
95 senators were present for the voting and 33 bills were considered. 

They started the voting process with the first bill - Members of the council of state with all the 95 senators voting YES.  The other bills were voted in this manner

Authorization of Expenditure - Yes 93, No 1, Abstain 1
Devolution of powers - Yes 46, No 48, Abstain 1

While the voting process was going on additional 2 senators joined their colleagues in the chamber making a total of 97 senators present for the review.

Immunity for member of Legislature in respect of words spoken or written in plenary was passed
Not too young to run bill was also passed at the constitution review exercise.
Independent candidacy bill was also passed.

Submission of Ministerial Nominees with their Portfolios was also voted for - Yes 78, No 16, Abstain 1.

The separation of the office of the Attorney General from the Minister/ Commissioner of Justice - Yes 95. No 1, Abstain 1.
Immunity for Legislators for Acts in course of duty - Yes 93, No 1, Abstain 0
