Our Super Eagles player Mr. Kelechi Iheanacho is reportedly having some major challenges in the United States of America after some allegations were made against him that he may have misled a court in Pennsylvania over his manager/agent case.
The 20-year-old young player is said to be involved in legal battles with his former management outfit, American-based First Eleven Management, after he pulled out of his contract with them in 2015 without consideration to the terms of contract.
Iheanacho went on to signed with a new representative, Stellar. This was according to the UK Sun as reported. Iheanacho filed pleadings that denied he knew or spent time with Henry Galeano, who claimed separately he was his former agent. The whole situtaion is messed up as he risk jail term for misleading or lying under oath.
The Nigerian international who is on the verge of joining Leicester City claimed he believed that Galeano was a assumed identity of First Eleven Management co-owner Robert Zanicky. Sources revealed that Galeano was the company’s registered Fifa-licensed agent.
Iheanacho will have some explanations to do as he and Galeano were spotted on different occassions and he denied knowing him or spending time with him to the court in Pennsylvania.
The court claimed the Nigerian international spent 'hundred of hours' with the Fifa-licensed agent.
According to the law in Pennsylvania, if Iheanacho is found guilty of knowingly misleading the court, he could be charged with unsworn falsification — which carries a penalty of up to two years in prison.
