How Not To Miss An Opportunity
Let me share a little reality story.
Two years ago, a fairly new estate company came into abuja, their first project was at Wuye... and while they were still selling Wuye, they got another site in Katempe a middle class location.
They started the offplan sales, first of all, this new phase was massive, bigger than their first location.... so I understand people’s fears.
There was no tarred road, however, the estate said they will construct the access road leading to the proposed housing Estate in Katempe as the district didn’t have infrastructural development...... someone that had bought in another estate previously, with such promise which never materialized maybe be skeptical on the possibility of them delivering on that.
We took some clients out to see the beautiful works the company was doing in Wuye their first location, but Wuye is almost finished... they trusted Wuye, they could see and feel Wuye, but Katempe is just some drawings on paper; "oga buy into katempe", oga kept dragging feet, allowing his fear and poor judgement to becloud all the potential Katempe has.
Oga didn’t know that his friend saw the huge opportunity and potential Katempe has and grabbed it! His friend subscribed for the detached house at N65m ( ofcourse just made a sizeable commitment) 5 months later works was going on like crazy in the Katempe site.
Oga was somewhere among other big men and the discussion came on board.... Oga realized that he has missed opportunity.
He called after the lockdown to arrange for a second site visit
Guess what?
The detached house that was offered for N65m pre sale few months back was going for N125m!
Oga carried his hands on his head!
Do you know why the rich keeps getting richer?
Imagine, cashing out at that point... sorry, you can’t imagine it if you don’t have that kind of money 😆
