Hmmmm... Things are really happening around us oo. We all need to be very careful not just with strangers, but with friends, relatives and neighbours.
On my way out yesterday morning, I saw people gathered in front of a building on the street before mine. I thought there was probably a ceremony going on or something. But on my way back in the evening, I still met the same crowd, this time in clusters or rather gossip groups. I knew immediately that something sinister is going on.
This morning as I was going out, the crowd was even more than that of yesterday, with police and press men all over the place. They even blocked one side of the road, and commuters were using one lane.
Since it was not my business, I kept moving and looking to maybe catch a glimpse of something. Luckily I saw one of our estate security men there. So on my way back this evening, I stopped by the security gate to find out what happened.
The story he gave me is still giving me chills๐ฆ
A security man (Aboki) and an Igbo male neighbour, connived and killed a fellow neighbour, a young single girl living alone in the same compound. Butchered her, tied up her hands and legs and stuffed her body in a sack, then buried it in the compound.๐ญ
It was just the three of them occupying the building.
From the info I gathered, the lady was living well, worked with a bank and doubled as a contractor.
She had two cars, and was by all standard a rich single lady; which is presumably her crime๐ข.
Aboki was caught three days ago while probably trying to escape or going to sell one of the cars.
Meanwhile, the murder was committed since on the 22nd of August.
According to my source, her colleagues tried reaching her several times when she didn't show up at work, but to no avail.
Both suspects have been arrested and investigation is ongoing.
Please, always be aware of your environment and people around you.
Nobody goes about with 'Evil' written on his or her forehead, but they are everywhere.
I'm still in shock๐ฒ
