ESN / IPOB In Gun Battle With Nigerian Soldiers In The Forest Of Rivers State.( SEE PHOTOS)

IPOB/ESN operation in Eleme-Oyibo Forest in Rivers state came to an end as Nigerian Soldiers invaded their camp in Agbochia forest.

This event took place yesterday the 27th  May 2021, at about 0615hrs, troops of 6 Div in conjunction with Keystone, DSS and NSCDC led by Brig Gen  MD DANJA conducted clearance/raid operations at suspected IPOB/ESN camp in Agbochia Forest along Pipelines Road, Ogali/ Kom-Kom boundary between  Eleme and Oyigbo LGA.

 During the clearance/raid Operations, the team came in contact with the   IPOB/ESN members. However, during the fire fight, 7members of  IPOB/ESN members were neutralized ( killed) and 5  suspects were arrested. 

Items recovered during the clearance/raid Operations on  IPOB/ESN camp included  

2  AK 47 rifles

2 G3 rifles, 

1  locally made machine gun and 1  G3 magazine. 

Also include 3  rounds of  7.62mm special, 10  rounds 7.62mm x 51mm NATO 

1  cutlass

5 Baofeng hand held radios with chargers

10 black Barrett's

1 NAF Tag and rank of a  LCPL, 13 GD belts, 1  locally made helmet with  ESN inscription, 36  assorted phones

1NPF face cap,  

5 pieces of boots,   

1 camouflage T-shirt, 

3 back pack and other valuable documents.

 Reportedly, the camp was destroyed in-situ. Meanwhile, the suspects and corpses have been handed over to Rivers State Commissioner of Police for further investigation. 

No casualty recorded from own forces.
