When I saw this news paper headline and read about it on the dailies, I couldn’t help but wonder!

I wondered at the audacity of the speaker

I wondered at the reaction of the hearers 

I wondered at the body language of the presidency who are quick to accuse any contrary voice of trying to undermine the president, their muteness over the activities of the deadly bandits speaks volume.

I wondered at the people of northern Nigeria, crying blue murder with one side of their mouth, yet, shouting leave them, don’t touch them, treat them well, handle them with care, they are only hungry.. #doublespeaking.

But I am no where near surprised. Why should I? After all, since the unity of Nigeria is sacrosanct, any comment in that regard is welcomed.

So yes, Uncle Gumi, for unity sake, let bandits remain bandits.
